Editing Control Points

If you have selected a wall, a target, a ramp, a light or a trigger, when you select a control point (inside the red circle), it becomes blue.

"Options" must be selected and active

Smooth - the option is Off by default; it makes it possible to round the corner which is under that control point

X - X coordinate of the control point on the table

Y - Y coordinate of the control point on the table

This window appears when you right-click on a control point, for faster selection

Smooth smoothes the corner under the selected point

Slingshot sharpens the corner under the selected point and creates a ribbon to the left side of the point for the objects Wall and Target

Note: If you only wish to sharpen the corner, reclick on the point and disable the slingshot option to remove the check mark.

For walls and targets, these options for the control points are shown when one clicks on the control point.

Smooth - the option is Off by default; it makes it possible to round the corner which is under that control point

Auto Texture Coord. this option is On by default, if one creates a new point and enables side application of textures of the walls or targets

Texture Coord. it can take any value between 0 and 1

X - X coordinate of the control point on the table

Y - Y coordinate of the control point on the table

Application of side images

It is a little complicated to explain. One only image can be applied to any particular object.

First of all, the Auto Textures Coord. and Coord Texture parameters are defined differently for walls and for targets.

In the picture below, I have deformed a target and a wall (so that you can see 3 faces of them) and applied an image without changing the parameters of the points on the objects is created. You can see how an image covers each of these objects.

Target                   Wall

On the target: the image is applied once to the front and not to the 3 remaining faces.

On the wall: The image is rolled up around the object and the manner of rolling up cannot be defined here.

AT=AutoTextureCoord. TC=Texture Coord. On=checked. Off=unchecked.

Here the parameters for the control points for each object, when they are created.

  Target                 Wall
AT = On
TC = 0
  AT = On
TC = 0
  AT = On
TC = 0
  AT = On
TC = 0

AT = Off
TC = 0
  AT = Off
TC = 1
  AT = On
TC = 0
  AT = On
TC = 0

Modificiation of Objects

  Target                 Wall (2 points smooth)
AT = Off
TC = 1
  AT = Off
TC = 0
  AT = Off
TC = 0
  AT = Off
TC = 1

AT = Off
TC = 0
  AT = Off
TC = 1
  AT = On
TC = 0
  AT = On
TC = 0

Explanation:

  1. An image is applied between a pair of control points with TC = 1 and TC = 0 when these points AT's are Off (AT = Off, TC = 0; and AT = Off, TC = 1). Note that if the point with TC = 1 is to the left of the point where TC = 0, the image will be backwards (reflected); you can see this if you look at the picture of the modified target.
  2. For an image to be applied to several faces, the image must be between a pair of control points as described in the preceding line, (AT = Off, TC = 0; and AT = Off, TC = 1) and you must have the option (AT = On, TC = 0). It is as if one had decontaminated this point for left last the image.
